The West Australian Conservatoire of Classical Ballet offers programmes for the very young dancer to the pre-professional level.


Young Children
Children's Programme

Classical ballet classes for children as young as 2 years old, which are designed for each student to discover their love of dance arranged at their level. These classes are conducted on Saturday mornings only.

Part-Time Children's Programme

Children's classical ballet grades are offered to our young school aged students. Students are encouraged to discover their body and develop sound classical ballet technique together with the enjoyment of dance. Children are able to learn: Classical Ballet, Character, Limber/Stretch Class and Specialised Coaching for Exams, etc. These classes are conducted twice a week.




Children



Extension Programme for 9 - 19 year olds.

For gifted and talented dancers who wish to pursue dance as a career. Students are nurtured and encouraged to excel in the art of classical ballet. This programme is offered to all students within the Conservatoire. Students must audition for this course. This programme is held on Tuesdays. Children
Senior Programme

Major levels are offered to students who are still attending school. Students are encouraged to discover their body and develop sound classical ballet technique together with the enjoyment of dance. Students are able to learn: Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Limber and Stretch Class, Repertoire and Specialised Coaching for Examinations, Scholarships, Bursaries and Competitions. Students are encouraged to attend at least 3 classes per week, however, for those wishing to do more, up to 7 classes per week are available.




Full-Timer


Full-Time Ballet Programme (15+yrs) & Day Classes (13+yrs)

This programme is for talented and dedicated young dancers pursuing dance as their career. The course caters for both Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dancers. Students wishing to complete their high school education, may apply to attend the School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE). Students must audition for this course and arrangements are made for those students still attending high school. This Course offers: Ballet, Contemporary, Limber/Stretch, Pas de Deux, Variations and Repertoire, Specialised Coaching, History, Anatomy, Music, Drama, Body Basics, National and International Tours. This course runs five and a half days per week.

These will be held once a term for all boys of all ages.
